I mean, with games like Halo 3, Bioshock, Resistance, and Call of Duty, no wonder hardcore gamers are getting pissed off by these casual games.

lolz, before I get yelled at for flamebait, I'm making a rather obvious point here. The games I've listed above were by far some of the easiest games I've played this gen, and well, last gen too! I sat down yesterday and started playing Metroid for the NES. >>; That game is by far much harder than, say, Halo 3, which I breezed through in a few hours after borrowing it from my friend.

In my opinion, games are a lot easier than they used to be. Seems developers need to tone down difficulty for the casual gamers.

I don't think games got easier because of "Casual" gamers ...

When "Cinematic" games appeared with the Playstation games started to become easier and easier because the "Reward" for playing a game was no longer the accomplishment of a worthwhile challenge, the reward became advancement in the story.

Which is why I still believe the N64 was the pinnacle of gaming.

Yeah.. I got Battletoads when it came out.. still haven't finished it...
Game Design changed.. now it's about telling and finishing a story.. not about man vs the unbeatable computer...

Games are much easier now.
That's why I love Virtual Console.

Did you really breeze through halo 3 on legendary in just few hours? Wow.. that is impressive.
