well its better to put it this way.

if a thousand people who live in another town from me, also bought smash bros brawl. the grafix sound replay etc isnt increased or decreased by one bit. therefore, an increased game sales does not under any circumstances make your enjoyment better.

it only does for fanboys!

another point regarding sales that could be in your preference is that you want others to experiance the game that you also like, a sort of feel good factor in a way.

but sales affecting your enjoyment of your game? no

The point of my thread was to say that I disagreed with him.

I see that people find Mario Kart Wii to be crap, but I like it way more than any other racer (but I still see your complaints). Most people do, but that's not the opinion you will find on VGChartz, simply because the site doesn't fit the Wii demographic at all.

/uncharted reached those heights because of the bundling.

If i really hate a game, i tend to hate it even more if it sells extremely well.

For example Carnival Games, it sickens me that it sells so much, same with the petz, dogz, etc. titles.

It depends on the game, with a title like halo(average game, high sales) huge sales means the multiplayer has a better chance of being great, with varied opponents and tons of comp

But with a game like MGS4(good from what I hear, high sales) big sales don’t mean as much b/c you still only play with yourself

On the flip side games like condemned 2 (great game, ok sales) are a blast online but have very limited fun factor b/c not as many people play that game there

Then of course if you don’t like the game no matter how many units it sells you still wont play it
