I'm sorry to say but anyone who bought a system based on hype may not be the smartest in the world. Seriously, people buy systems because of what the PR said? Haha...I see why they keep spewing the BS. You actually expect a corporation to stop hyping when the public are feeding off the hype?

People that hate company XYZ will always say "company XYZ said this, this and this" to bring them down and completely disregard who said it and in what situation. The whole Ubisoft boycott afair showed us just some month ago.

Here we go it is very old and I am looking for a direct quote but the Toy Story graphics claim was made by Sony in 1999.

I am looking for Direct Quotes but those are from E3 1998(in case you have all forgotten the old man demo that was shown it was from that speech) and trying to find stuff and articles from over 10 years ago is quite a pain.

 

This is all Hyperbole though as bith Sony and MS have overexagerated how powerful their systems were in the past Sony is the worst offender of the past 2 generations. To see the Absolute worst offender ever though all one has to do is look back to 1993 to 1994 to Nintendo's" Project Reality".

It implies nothing of the sort.  Scores ranging from 3 to 10 out of 10 is a 100% surefire sign of fanboy interference.  The "Halo killer" did not deliver if it only could get to about a 7.  "Some people can see past certain flaws"?  Well, I'm sure there are people out there that love Lair, or loved E.T. on the Atari 2600, but that doesn't make them good games.
