Everyone knows Sony is the one that stated the Toy Story statement.

just like "everyone" knew the earth was flat before right?
You don't even know who said it, hence you are saying "Sony", but it was definately a person who said it.
The second thing is, that it's not clear to me (or us/everyone) in what situation it was said. Was it "ah yea and this is the emotion engine, it can deliver Toy Story 2 graphics .." or rather "reporter: Will there be something as beautiful as Toy Story 2 on the PS2? Sony-worker: yes, there will be Toy Story 2 on the PS2 -> reporter making article: Toy Story 2-like graphics on PS2 confirmed!" ?
People that hate company XYZ will always say "company XYZ said this, this and this" to bring them down and completely disregard who said it and in what situation. The whole Ubisoft boycott afair showed us just some month ago.

Don't be a douche Sony fanboy and get your head out of your ass. I heard the Toy Story statement before ps2 was released. Have a nice day.

Can you provide a source such as I? And again...
"One of the basic premises of the Xbox is to put the power in the hands of the artist," Seamus Blackley said, which is why Xbox developers "are achieving a level of visual detail you really get in 'Toy Story.'"

So if you are going to be pointing the finger at SONY, then you should stop being a douche fanboy YOURSELF by acknowledging the provided FACT.

Here we go it is very old and I am looking for a direct quote but the Toy Story graphics claim was made by Sony in 1999.

New console system will reportedly feature graphics on par with "Toy Story"

PlayStation 2, though, is claiming to be able to handle 50 times more 3-D image data than the Dreamcast, allowing it to create characters similar in appearance to those in the Walt Disney film "Toy Story

I am looking for Direct Quotes but those are from E3 1998(in case you have all forgotten the old man demo that was shown it was from that speech) and trying to find stuff and articles from over 10 years ago is quite a pain.
This is all Hyperbole though as bith Sony and MS have overexagerated how powerful their systems were in the past Sony is the worst offender of the past 2 generations. To see the Absolute worst offender ever though all one has to do is look back to 1993 to 1994 to Nintendo's" Project Reality".
