It would be ok if you hate all FPS, not just Halo.

Wipeout is an extreme Racer and Halo is a typical FPS

I will definitely be forcing my roommate to download this on his PS3. I love the Wipeout series too much :D

In exchange I'll let him play Castle Crashers on my 360. Dammit. I'm never going to have time to beat ToV and IU between work + other games :|

Which will never be possible. If you have twice the pixels you have half the per pixel operations available. So you will never be able to make a 1080p game that has as much effects, as good lighting as a 720p game. It will always have (1280*720)/(1920*1080) ~0.5 shader effects you could do with a 720p game. That has nothing to do with the power of this generation but is simply a hard fact. Less effects and more pixels or vice versa. These are your choices.

But it is true that number of polygons which result in the same computations regardless of resolution should have a by far bigger impact in racing games than shader effects of any kind so a higher resolution will be a more sensible payoff than for shader driven games like FPS.

The cell is the reason the game has 2 player splitscreen running at 1080p 60 fps.  Show me another game on another platform that does that.

lol, this is hardly Epic but good news nevertheless...hopefully it lives up to Wipeouts of the past. A tiltle I will consider buying once ps3 comes my way.

PS. Who cares if its 1080p, 60 FPS...Wipeout 1 is still more fun that a lot of racers released today and it has none of that.
