notice how the number of players = 1 offline. to me, single player racing games these days are not acceptable. with motorstorm 2 on it's way featuring offline splitscreen, you kind of feel that pure won't be able to compete with it.

Well, I wont be getting it now. The demo was okay, but a racer of this sort without splitscreen is kinda stupid :/

First Motorstorm, then Burnout and now Pure. It seems multiplayer in racing games really is last-gen. I can't remember one N64 racer that didn't have 2-4 player splitscreen.

I guess crunching polygons is the priority these days.

motorstorm 2 and gt5 prologue both have splitscreen multiplayer offline. both were released recently and both have polygon crunching graphics too.

I want to play this splitscreen and online with a friend. is that possible?

If you have a BC ps3, check out ATV Offroad Fury 2(PS2) instead. Great local MP & some really fun minigames.

by the initial looks of it, you can only play multiplayer online, no splitscreen.

Now you tell me, after I buy the game...

damn that does suck. I still want the game, but yeah I didn't realize that. It doesn't make much sense.
