Forums - Sales - I'm tired of unfounded predictions

Predictions are opinions so you are going to get this. That's why I like to say the same thing about predictions that I do about opinions. Everyone is entitled to one but that doesn't mean everyone of them should be respected because some are better than others.

It's a headache sometimes and when fanboys are involved you'll never get logic and fact based predictions. I'm with you Fishy but there's nothing to really stop it unless it became apart of Teh Rulez (which when I first read the rules I thought those types of predictions went against the substance rule about giving facts when stating something will happen, maybe I found something that will help you =O ???)

You know what I hate? When people make posts in threads mentioning the Wii or Nintendo when the thread has NOTHING to do with either of them.

In fact, that sounds a lot like the OP.

And you know what I hate? When people make silly predictions because they are frustrated about the bad performance of their favorite console while the console they dislike the most is doing amazing.

I think the idiotic predictions are actually pretty funny. They make me feel reallllly smart when I read them, and everyone likes a boost in confidence.

@atma: You just about hit the nail right on the head.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

Not to mention most of you a too chicken to back up your prediction.
Unlike some girl who predicted that the world will end with the LHC switched on. She backed her prediction and drank pesticides.

Now, I don't see any of you drinking pesticides.

Most people fond of making all sorts of unfounded predictions can be likened to when someone throws a large enough bucket of crap at a wall: something is going to stick, and that someone will be jumping up and down, clapping his hands and crowing about how that one piece of crap stuck just like he knew it would.

The main problem is that most of the people making the predictions have way too much of an emotional investment in their favorite consoles and/or games to make those predictions anything close to objective and rational.

Yeah i do think they pretty funny , and some of those predictions just should not be treated serious. And ignorance would be the best weapon against idiotic predictions.

There are way to many things that can go right or wrong for a company, and way to many things to take in account when you make a prediction. Often the one that seems to have the most solid proofs becomes the worst from the bunch ;)

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

I predict that someday all games will like Nintendo... Bwahahahahaha... Yeah I know, not gonna happen.
