So wait, where does it say it's for porn?

Sure, something like that could be used for it, but you would not use Fire Fox because it will get a feature "in which writes to cache, history, and other traces of the user's browsing activity are blocked"?

What about using this kind of feature for personal information on your own computer or a public computer like, for example, buying something online?

you realize IE8, Opera 10, and the next Safari all will have private browsing so I guess we wont be seeing you on the internet then.

Gonna be really hard for you to brows the internet in the future since pretty much every web browser will have this feature.

even if this was for porn, why would the OP be NOT using firefox because of this? I could see disabling this for their kids if they have them, but why themselves?

Safari's Private browsing is the only reason I'm here right now. I'm not visiting such a nerd site on my girlfriends computer if it'll be kept in history.

It's the concept of not supporting something that does support something you disagree with.

 

But pr0nz are only a part for which "private mode" can be used.

 

Also, it's a good possibility that he's a teenager and his parents will disallow usage of Firefox for these reasons. So he'd better hope it's not highly publicized that the other browsers will also have it.
