Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga.

It's fun as hell, and has the best comedy writing I've ever seen in a video game.

If SRPG's count, try Fire Emblem and Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones.

If not, Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga. Also Sword of Mana has a less than decent story but I enjoyed the gameplay.

Pixel Art can be fun.
