So what type of a player are you? Do you start off as a newb and stay a noob? Start of weak and improve without limit, or start strong and improve from there? Those are just a few of the types of players I have noticed in the past.

I know I noticed I start of mediocre, move up to good, but I don't put in the effort to get even better. I get better at games in which you get better just by playing them more, like FPSes. But ones that require something more like strategy, I just stay at one level basically.

So what kind of player are you?

Pure perfection from the start ;) but really I'm generally pretty good then get really good just depending if its a game I'm into or not.

MaxwellGT2000 - "Does the amount of times you beat it count towards how hardcore you are?"

Wii Friend Code - 5882 9717 7391 0918 (PM me if you add me), PSN - MaxwellGT2000, XBL - BlkKniteCecil, MaxwellGT2000

I usually catch on pretty quick, but inevitably get passed up by other players. I plateau really early, unless I devote countless hours to a game.

I remember when Riot thought I was the best SSBB player on here back when it first came out. >_>

I have confidence that far out weighs my abilities...

I normally start out Ok, but if dont improve quickly i throw in the towel. If i do improve quickly and stick at things for a while i can become slightly above average!!!

Although if i ever play anybody here in ANY game, I'll be certain of victory...right up untill i lose...

I always look for a woman who has a tattoo. I see a woman with a tattoo, and I’m thinking, okay, here’s a gal who’s capable of making a decision she’ll regret in the future.

I am de best.

And stay de best!

20 minutes with games that are not RPG's are enough for me to be good at them. From there, only better.

Meh, takes me 10.

Hmm, pie.

I am Godlike... in my own eyes of course!

If its a familiar genre I find I tend to blow through games on hard (so I'll normally jump right to Hard for FPS games for example) but if its something new I tend to devote extra time to learning the new mechanic(s) involved in beating the game.

But beat it I will. A game has to be horrible for me to not complete it - and I try to avoid buying horrible games in the first place.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

You bring up a good point, I always play a game on hard, unless I know if it's in aspecific type of genre or hard is locked. Survival shooter I usually don't play on heard because I am horrible at conserving ammo. I'm a UT2004 guy where ammo is unlimited and you don't even have to reload. Other than that my base starting point is very very high, I just don't improve that much if it's a strategy game.
