It will be a hit, just not the huge hit some crazy people have predicted (ive seen 10 million sales thrown about, as if)

a)

they will find a new game to question

b)

they will talk about their life passing them by.. :C

300k is definitely a flop considering sony is bundling ps3 with LBP. Sony is also planning to make sackboys their icon for ps3, just like mario for nintendo and master chief for xbox. it will be a big joke for them if their iconic game only sells 300k life time ahaha!

I have the same fear about experimental games creating hype and high expectations...

But I think it looks ok for LBP. Not because it is only innovative (that is were the risk lies) but because it seems to pack a lot of content (which is always good because you can find something you like).

Still, the content looks very charming and this is a typical game for the PS3, especially in Japan.

I definitly see that kind of game having a huge success with the audience of the wii for example.

I'm pretty sure it will have honorable results in US/EU and huge sales in JP.

I highly doubt that a game with hype, advertising, and a console bundle like LBP is getting will sell the abysmal levels that you are predicting. Actually I would bet you that LBP will outdo your lifetime prediction in the first week.

It will sell well but it won't be the Messiah people expect it to be. Just like neither MGS4 was.

Face it people, the Wii's got it.

i will bookmark this and come back one week after the game is released to say you fail if it passes 300K its first week. heck. It might even be double that the first week.
