I don't think it will sell as well as some people predict. Probably 1 to 1.5 million lifetime. Which imo will be a tremendous success.

yes, 300k would definately be a considered "flop" for LBP, but I think there is little chance of that happening

I see it easily hit 1 million this year and potentially much more with good legs.

This thread fails in so many ways. LBP will sell better than Fable 2.

My first instinct is to say yes because of the same reasons you mentioned, no one bought their PS3 to play platformers, they got a Wii for that. They bought their PS3 for the shooters and all that other stuff. Then again you never know, the hype behind it is pretty big and even if it is reviewed badly it will still sell a lot on the first day because many people will want it right then and there without doubt. Hype does help games out in the beginning. The only other recent game like LBP, that is it focuses on players making things, is SPORE and that is selling really well right now. The major difference is that SPORE is for the PC, everyone hass a PC and people with 5 year old computers or worse can play it. Many of those people also have the Sims and are buying up SPORE. Meanwhile the PS3 doesn't have that advantage. So in conclusion, we will have to wait and see, it is extremely likely that it will fail and all the VGC PS3 fanboys will retreat in shame, or it will succeed and they won't shut the fuck up. Either way bystanders lose....
