Forums - Sony - Motorstorm on the PSP?

http://www.psxextreme.com/psp-news/1347.html

"As most PlayStation 3 owners are aware, MotorStorm: Pacific Rift releases early next month. It's one of the more anticipated titles of the year (the original gathered in plenty of off-road racing fans), and the sequel looks bigger and better in just about every way. But PSP owners like racing games, too...

And thus, the latest rumor: according to Dutch gaming site PS3Life.nl, UK retailer GAME suddenly has a PSP listing for "MotorStorm" in their database. We keep hearing from Sony that we can expect several large surprises for the PSP next year, so perhaps this is one of them. There's really no reason to keep a popular franchise away from handhelds these days; as we progress further through this generation, there are more and more gamers who own both a PS3 and a PSP. The connectivity bonus between the systems is only one of several reasons to own both platforms, and if you're on the go, why not have one of the more entertaining off-road racing titles at your fingertips? We're hoping Sony can confirm or deny this within the next few weeks, although there is the possibility an official unveiling awaits us at the Tokyo Game Show in October. The timing would be perfect, as the event kicks off mere days after Pacific Rift hits store shelves.

Remember, Sony revealed Resistance: Retribution for the PSP at E3 2008, so is it really out of the realm of possibility that a MotorStorm title could go portable as well?"

I think this is interesting. From what I saw of Resistance: Retribution, it could go either way, and I'd expect about the same from a Motorstorm title on the PSP. If it is true, do you think they can really pull off a great game, or just end up with another horrible console-PSP port?

I see Evolution Studios making a PSP version of MotorStorm.
I can see it incorporating online play over infrastructure and some ad-hoc. The game will more than likely be like the first MotorStorm on the PSP.

This would be nice though. I would certainly pick it upmo

Maybe this is what BigBig Studios is working on.

They're a subsidiary of Evolution Studios, and they haven't announced anything since releasing Pursuit Force a while back.

Never heard of that studio (BigBig Studios), but I would love to have BigBig Studios the creators of Pursuit Force make this game. Because Pursuit Force was awesome! The driving physics in that game was spot on. Even though I didn't actually own it, it was a decent game that was certainly worth a look and currently underrated in my opinion.

Cant say that I would be surprised . Common, racing games ususally do well on the PSP, and a big IP like Motorstorm would be a win-win sittuation ;)

Sounds like a good idea for Sony, not a huge fan or motorstorm myself but if it's better then a large portion of the racing games on PSP then I'll enjoy it.

MaxwellGT2000 - "Does the amount of times you beat it count towards how hardcore you are?"

Wii Friend Code - 5882 9717 7391 0918 (PM me if you add me), PSN - MaxwellGT2000, XBL - BlkKniteCecil, MaxwellGT2000

Interesting, would be a welcome addition.

PSP needs games. Motorstorm should be a good addition to the library

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

This could be cool.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

maybe its being released by ready at dawn. No one knows what next project theyre working on
