Well I assume you actually believe the bullshit you just wrote. No where in the Quran does it actually say to kill infidels or approve of that nonsense you said. I could say the same bullshit about your country, the one you are so called protecting, but unlike you I am not a prick.

 

No it doesn't say to put bombs on yourself in the koran but then again bombs weren't even invented back then, and the koran does have plenty of things saying that it is a holy duty to protect one's religion, people, etc, correct?  To kill the infidels, correct?  Well, that is what some muslims have focused on, unfortunately.

We have to remember the world was quite peaceful in 90s and it was only when American started to colonise the world and coming from far far abroad to wage wars in the land that was never theirs that this all phenomenon and terminology of terrorism started...

No matter how much i try to be sympathetic with the americans on the 9/11, i still can not understand why there is no independent JUDICIAL investigations have taken place for the 9/11 event... being a software engineer give me US$ 5k and i will create Bill Clinton or Tony Blair or which ever leader video tapes you want in which they will accept the responsibility of 9/11...

So i think the need of the time is that we look back on it with a clear head and let them live in the way they want to live and live our life the way we r living and try not to impose our style on them ... for hundreds of years we have lived in harmony with muslims in this world and suddenly they have gone suicidal on us... this sure means that there is some thing fundamentally change at our end too...

Things like these are only showing that there are equal number of terrorist element all over the world...

Have you read the Quran.? actually i m in the process of reading it a little out of curiosity and i found that it mention that killing of one innocent is like kill of entire humanity... although at places it also mention that if people wage war on you then do fight them till they become subdue... which i feel is pretty reasonable and balance viewpoint..

Well no where does it say kill civilians. I don't believe in this religion but I have studied it.  No where does it say you can slaughter the killing of Non-Combatants or the murder of innocent people for revenge.

So you can try and justify the Afghanistan War (which is actually in the geography region of Middle Asia not the geographical region of the middle east). USA has different defination of Middle East.

 

However it does say defend against invading forces somewhere. (IRAQ WAR), but like I said I am not serious person on these forums, so i am not getting into a debate.

Yes the koran does say those things, which certainly balances out the rougher passages.  The problem is that Islam has given a RELIGIOUS duty to defend oneself, defend other muslims, and sometimes this idea of defending one's territory is liberally interpreted, the jihadis might just be mad at arab-US politics or whatever and so they decide to kill a bunch of people for that.

And Acevil, I don't think that this the core of the problem is unique to Islam.  The core of the problem is that Muslim countries mix religion w/ politics, and they are way too religious.  These things have happened in European countries, with things like th 100 years war and the inquisition, pretty ugly stuff, but now, we have terrorists and we need to deal with them, and we will.
