Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Will XBOX live take action against people abusing the Fable II pub games ch

With some major websites almost advertising the exploit in Fable II pub games, I think Micrsoft and Lionhead studios must knoe that there will be players doing this.  My question is, won't it be a little obvious when someone joins the game and claims there earnings of 50,000,000gold and therefor will they get punished in some way/shape or form.  Either the game studios penelizes their playes, or takes the money away at least.

Also XBOX Live boasts a strict policy against in-game cheating and apparently is part of the cost of a Gold membership.  With their creed of eliminating cheaters so everyone else doesn't have their fun spoiled, will they take action as well?

Fable II doesn't have PvP right? Nope, nothing is going to happen.

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Watch my insane gameplay videos on my YouTube page!

What modes are in Fable 2 where the cheating would matter anyways?

They take actions only if someones name there has the word "gay" in it.

There's not really any reason for them to--There's only single-player and coop, with no leaderboards, so it's all in good fun. They don't care if people want to ruin their own games--that's their own decision--it only matters if it affects other peoples' experience. Hell, if we weren't allowed cheats in single-player games, why were cheat codes even invented?

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

I can't imagine the game would be very much fun if a player started with that much gold. It would be like being born as Bill Gates... with the wealth at age 1 month. No challenge...

Cheat codes were invented for the developers and testers to get through the game quickly and try things out. They just happen to leave the cheats in Single Player games. But you are cheating yourself if you use cheats in single player games to pass them. Its cool to use cheats to fool around in games, so long as you are not spoiling anyone elses fun.

Maybe not fun for you. Sign me up for having Bill Gates riches at age 1 month. I'd have the most pimpest basonet on this planet.

Because Activision in the late 70s was like most game publishers and did not allow programmers to have individual credit for the games they programmed (In those days very few people were needed to make a game).  So the programmer that made the game Adventure in 1980, had an unlockable "room" in the game with his name written on it.
