Cheat codes were invented for the developers and testers to get through the game quickly and try things out. They just happen to leave the cheats in Single Player games. But you are cheating yourself if you use cheats in single player games to pass them. Its cool to use cheats to fool around in games, so long as you are not spoiling anyone elses fun.
