Forums - Nintendo - The OFFICIAL E3 2007 Nintendo Press Conference Thread

Overall not great for new info but then again this conference was done around WiiFit and balance board..by far the best thing in the conference..the wiimote puts your hands into play..the balnce board the rest of your body!! Some people are not "getting it" but just imagine what it can do for traditional games...i for one am excited to c how developers use this baby ;)

Even though I enjoyed the show, I was bummed that there was no showing of Animal Crossing, nothing from the supposed revival IP , I swore we'd get Reggie saying something about how we didn't forget the hardcore gamer and show us an awesome video of Kid Icurus game.

I'm not sure if this year's format is conducive to doing it again, but this a quote from Matt at IGN about Nintendo's 2006 E3 conference, "Meanwhile, it left so many other important questions unanswered. Where was Smash Bros. for Wii, a title Nintendo has said would launch with the console?"  It was revealed in a surprise last day conference.

Wow Mario looks so great...

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Sweet, noticed it already on the trailer which Nintendo showed... Mario has a pimped up kart :D

Like I said, my feelings says the most stuff will hit on the Tokyo Game Show.

Mario Kart online for Q1? Did I hear that right?

Sounds like no online for Smash... It would have been mentioned... Oh well.

Still... Zelda, Metroid, Mario, Smash and possibly Kart in the first 18 months of Wii... Its hard to argue Nintendo isn't making games for their core audience, if not "hardcore," "mature" games.

"[Our former customers] are unable to find software which they WANT to play."
"The way to solve this problem lies in how to communicate what kind of games [they CAN play]."

Satoru Iwata, Nintendo President. Only slightly paraphrased.
