well my sig says it all..

with real-time its pretty much mayhem all the time but with turnbased there actually a bit of tacticts.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing (mostly)

Real-time, though turn-based can be cool if they incoroporate lots of interaction into the moves (like the Mario RPGs)
