Nintendo could always use a system like Sony and M$ that allows one to redownload games so people can just delete games already beaten and go back if they feel like replaying it again.

they already do

well then they could let the user store data digitally to a Nintendo given server... wont be efficient but its still storage space.

aww, it would have been nice though.

My guess is running off of SD cards. A single block signature on the Wii, the main file on the card.

2G is a lot of space for the DL games. And you can alwyas swap cards if need be.

Also, it would help if all games could have their save files transferred to SD cards. (I am talking to you Elebits and your 119 Blocks).

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

Wow, if a Microsoft or Sony head said shit like that about the Wii you people would be livid and calling for their heads, but when Reggie says it you all rally behind him like the hypocrites you are.

wtf?

Anyways, their better solution stumps me. Exactly what is a better solution to a HDD? The only thing that comes up is the Holographic storage, and if they use that, I guess I can read all your hypocritical posts about how amazingly ambitious and smart Nintendo was for using a more expensive storage solution that was future tech, then remember all your posts about the CELL.

Ahhhh, VGChartz, why cant I quit you.

I own all three current consoles and a great gaming rig, now thats out of the way.

This space Reserved for the Nuggets of Wisdom dropped by Bladeforce:

"Why post something like this when all it will get is PS3 owners blinded to reality replying? BOTH THE PS3 AND BLUE-RAY WILL NOT LAST 3 YEARS! TECHNOLOGY CHANGED TOO FAST!"

"is it Wii FIt that has sold as many as PS3's sold? Thats a LOL Look at the total sales of software is it just me that sees Nintendo titles hitting 10m+ and you say they arent making a difference? Another LOL!"

"Hell, with all the negative hype Sony spin, people just aren't interested cost is too high and to get the true HD experience (1080p, 7.1 surround) you will need a $1000+ system. THAT IS GOING TO DO IT IN A RECESSION! PS4 will not happen"

Except the other companies called the Wii "not a real console" "a fad" "not for gamers" "wil lgraduate to 360" "not even in competiton" the list goes on and on, this is just Reggie aying hes flattered by a true statement (Microsoft blatantly ripepd off Mii's, not even arguable).

Sopeople who rally behind him are either :1) Giving Ms and Sony payback for all their sh** slinging (Sony for the past 10 years, MS more recently). 2) Think it's a good comment.

As others say they could use holographic storage. sd cards have a slow transfer rate annyway and the wii currently can only read up too 2 gigs of an SD (cant read high capacity)

BTW, there are sites with customizable avatars, but these are game systems, and Nintendo showed they could work on them.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

well i hope the solution comes soon. I dont have space (maybe for one more game around 60 blocks)....but i had to delete the wii fit channel and the mario kart channel u.u and i want to game samurai showdown -.-

So i hope they hurry up...GH WT is coming!!!!!!!!!!

read data directly from SD cards?

I dunno...

^^^ This is what you get for blowing a rumor out of proportion

I advise you to read the original post once more.

"They’re not making a “hard drive” but will come up with a better solution."

Read that sentence three times. Holographic storage would still count as 'making a harddrive.' opening up the USB slot to other brands of harddrives however, wouldn't count as making a harddrive
