Then why the hell is it not at no. 1....

Maybe because there is one Wii SKU, one PS3 SKU, and four Xbox 360 SKUs?

Amazon will also not be representative because they are also giving away a $60 gift card with a purchase of the 360 elite. So amazon sales will be more skewed to that model.

Goddammit!!!

AMAZON!!!!!!!!!!

@ badgenome

Err... the Arcade is the important price drop... Doesn't matter about the other two skus...

And the news site that posted it is stupid.

Price cut increases sales... DUH!

All four SKUs are in the top 100, when there is usually only one or two. So clearly they do matter. To the extent Amazon.com's near worthless rankings matter at all.

Xbox 360 sales increase post price cut

Sales for Microsoft Corp.'s Xbox 360 increased on Fri. at Amazon.com, the first day of a new price cut for the video game hardware.

The Xbox 360 Arcade SKU held 1,712 percent increase in sales to rank at No. 25 in Amazon's Video Games division.

The Pro SKU held a 504 percent sales increase to rank at No. 23.

Lastly, the Elite SKU held a 231 percent increase in sales to rank at No. 64.

Microsoft this week announced that it will price cut all Xbox 360 hardware in the U.S.

Beginning Sept. 5, the Xbox 360 Arcade SKU will sell for $199, the Pro SKU at $299, and the Elite SKU at $399.

The company will reportedly discount Xbox 360 prices in Japan between 5,000 and 8,000 yen per model in Oct.

Thats surely good news

I do agree that amazon is not that great of a indicator on sales but I do have to point out one or two people are kind of sining a diff tune on this thread compaired to the threads that were talking about the ps3 sales increase on amazon lol double standerd much lol.

The PS3 is still ahead. However, combined, the three units could put the 360 ahead.

But only on amazon mind

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD
