Well, that is a creative way to kill a cat. That actually made me laugh. I wondered what sort of sounds the cat made...do you think it meowed?

Travis Touchdown was a brutal killer, but he treated his cat Jeane right.

This is disgusting. Videogames don't make you do sick things like this. These idiots need much more severe punishment. Something like Michael Vick.

It's something that will highly bother the kids.   Some judges like to pull that kind of thing.


It's the same kind of way a parent might punish his kids.


Stay out past curfew?  No videogames for a week. etc.

 

It's really not unreasonable. 

There better of been some state mandated counciling as well however, as killing defenseless animals is a major warning sign of someone being a violent sociopath.

I have no problem with that kind of sentence handed down as punishment, as Kasz216 said, but I worry that it was due to some perceived connection or will be paraded by others as resulting from a connection.

Canada's legal system is a joke. The Young Offenders Act needs to be abolished (not that it would have done anything in this case but it still needs to go).

The YOA was repealed and replaced by the YCJA in either 2003 or 2004...I forget which year exactly.

Sounds a bit extreme. I think incarceration and extreme therapy would probably suffice.
