Forums - Sales - Japan Numbers Up!!!!

I'm starting to wodner if the 360 will do under 100k this week. probably not but the PS3 is definetly gonna outsell the 360 by atleast 60k this week. I wonder why 360 was so low in Europe this week.

Ouch at the wii numbers though below 26k that really pretty low for the Wii in Japan.

PS2 number are also very high for soem reason.

I actually edited my post because it was the European numbers I was talking about since the American numbers haven't even been released yet.

this could be the second sub 100k week for 360 in a row (last week numbers seem to have been adjusted, for I think it was a bit over 100k before) - well, after the pricedrop 360 numbers should do better again

Whether you're joking or not, I'd like to point out this happened last year around this time.

Proof.

It's just the way the Japanese market works.

DS 56, 298 -> 56,105

PSP 47, 223 -> 42, 759

Wii 32, 119 -> 25, 670

PS3 8,729 -> 10,986

360 3,712 -> 3,097

it's nice to see that the ds is still on top

The low Wii numbers are because this is a really slow time of year in Japan. Around this time last year, sales dipped to around the 25,000/week mark as well.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."
