Forums - Nintendo - Will Disaster Day of Crisis be crap?

No video. Not many screens. No news for ages. Simple question, Is this game going to be bad, unimaginative with terrible graphics or the 3rd best Nintendo title of the year? Or will the quicktime events completely overwhelm any sense of interactivity in the narrative?

3 Weeks to go, unless someone bothers to show vids before the 25th.

btw, i preordered and im biased towards it

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Blanket answer to your entire post: NO.

They just released over 40 new screens, and it seems to be coming along quite nicely, tyvm.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

No it won't be the 3rd best title of the year?

I  don't know about that, but you said there have been no new screens for a long time which is wrong.  Quick-time events ALWAYS add to the experience.  The graphics are GREAT.  And it looks very imaginative.

You know what I meant.

I'm hoping it's good.

It is first party, though. I think.

Its rare that I judge games on reviews/screens. Hell, I dont look at half of them normally. I figure it's worth a Blockbuster rent to see how it turns out. Of course, still no US release date, so that might be a while yet.

The game is going to be good

Will X Wii game be crap? Do we really need one for every Wii game?

The rEVOLution is not being televised

You sound more confused than that pregnant dude Oprah had on a while back...

"I mean, c'mon, Viva Pinata, a game with massive marketing, didn't sell worth a damn to the "sophisticated" 360 audience, despite near-universal praise--is that a sign that 360 owners are a bunch of casual ignoramuses that can't get their heads around a 'gardening' sim? Of course not. So let's please stop trying to micro-analyze one game out of hundreds and using it as the poster child for why good, non-1st party, games can't sell on Wii. (Everyone frequenting this site knows this is nonsense, and yet some of you just can't let it go because it's the only scab you have left to pick at after all your other "Wii will phail1!!1" straw men arguments have been put to the torch.)" - exindguy on Boom Blocks
