I live in australia and im getting pretty pissed off that the ps3 its a cold hard 999$, the ps3 is selling crazy over here. i know many many ppl that wanna buy a ps3  but just want a little price drop. CMON SONY what does every think?

Yeah, look at Europe, the PS3 cost £425 = $850 for something that costs $500 in the US with the emoution engine

yeah agreed im annoyed cause i was lookin forward to getting a ps3, then i found out the price and AUS$ and like 0.85 or whateva they should release even all over the world. that would bost sales straight away. why should americans get it for cheap..

You shouldn't worry about price cuts, it's too early. After all, it's a 10 year lifecycle. Oh, oops, did they just do one?

arrgh i guess im just pissed that i got a low wage to get a ps3 its like 1 month of saving GAYNESS. neways ive got to sleep now off the work hard for my 300$ pay check at the end of the week..

hopefully some interestin post by tomorro

Thre probably going to see the effect it does on sales in the U.S but if it does sell alot of consoles whcih apparently they are accordin to amazon, they will drop the rpices world wide in august or sept so that they can have the same effect WW.

They will drop the price in Europe soon enough...maybe wait until September or a little later. We should expect the MRP to drop from £425 to either £349 or even £299, although I get the feeling that they will just introduce the new 80Gb version with Motorstorm and reduce the price to £399.



Prediction (June 12th 2017)

Permanent pricedrop for both PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro in October.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

I think they will annouce some time of price drop in Europe. They said that SCEE is working on it. I would prolly expect something at E3.

Well the PS3 didn't get release in your region until March so I wouldn't expect a price drop for a few more months. The PS3 is still in its "launch phase" in PAL territories.
