Forums - Microsoft - Infinite Undiscovery FAQ.

SPOILER ALERT. READ AT THE LOSS OF YOUR OWN ENJOYMENT.

I purchased Infinite Undiscovery today, and if anyone is curious I am really enjoying the game. That said I am a couple hours into the game, and I have already hit a brick wall. I have gone through Nolan village, and have gotten to the door that leads into the shrine. The problem is that there are no FAQs, Walkthroughs, or guides to be found. I am certain with time I can crack this particular riddle, but part of the solution appears to be wholesale slaughter of respawning enemies. Thus my dilema the more I kill the higher my level rises, and thus the less challenging the game will become.

I gather that I need to collect bat wings, snake fangs, and poison one of my party. I can collect two, but not the third every snake I kill gives me skin. Can anyone give me the lowdown on how to solve this puzzle. Am I off on the wrong track? Anyway for those a little stuck as I am please use this thread as a temporary FAQ.

The only advice I can give thus far is if you want to level safely, and take almost no damage the room before the temple door is wonderful. You can get by fighting one enemy at a time, and with the emblazoned sword the more you level the safer it becomes.

if you are worried about enemies getting easier then you can try playing the game on harder difficulty levels.. I hear the max level grind is 250.. although no one is sure yet.. but its the max level on previous Tri Ace games..

have you received your flute yet??  Certain areas will look distorted as they are hiding things.. play the flute will reveal hidden chests and unlock doors.. also you might want to lead some enemies and make them follow you to certain areas..

I still not got my game yet although I pre ordered it weeks ago... I be very p!ssed if it arrives saturday/monday.. >.>

I attempted to lead both types of creatures to the door to no discernible effect. Beyond that I am playing the game on normal difficulty. I suppose it may be a riddle I need to solve on my own.

You can't get the Hard or Insane difficulties until you beat it on normal. The game is designed like Mass Effect: It requires multiple playthroughs. However, unlike ME, it rewards you with new dungeons and EQ on harder playthroughs.

As for the puzzle:

Use Charm, and command the bat + snake to the door. When they are near the door, examine the door to enter.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

@mrstickball

I finally figured that out it is most definitely not the type of puzzle I have actually seen before. Which is a good thing I suppose. For reference to anybody that is stuck on this puzzle it is the Penguin command through Rico. You use the attack on them, and then make sure to examine the door when the animal is close. The door does the rest. The only other advice I have is keep the snake close the spell will wear off a few times while your pulling it to the door, and since it wants to go around a corner Rico cannot get a clean shot off.

@Dodece

This had me stumped for a while as well but thankfully a quick google search gave me a solution. Bit of a rubbish puzzle because even once i knew the solution it still took me 20 minutes to do! Other than this I am finding the game OK so far and look forward to seeing how it progresses.

I know what the reviews meant by a lot of characters, have already met around 6-8 party member characters and can only remember 3 of them off the top of my head.

MorgZ - From reading user reviews on NeoGAF, it seems like once you get past the first 3-4 hours of play, the game picks up, and gets very awesome very quickly.

I heard some rumors about 'why' you need all of those characters, and how they come in handy....And if true...Is certainly a first in action JRPGs.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

bahh took me about 5 minutes to figure out and open the door.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

game is getting better the more you spend time with it..

When I started playing this I was beginning to regret buying it cause the camera angles and targeting system just seemed broken .. but once you get past the prison and that awful nighttime forest stage it really starts to pick up.

Just did a 25 hit juggling combo and got an achievement for it! :o

There are other minor complaints that I dislike...

I guess this is a game you have to learn its finer points before you can appreciate it.  Not a game you just pick up and play otherwise you will just dismiss it as rubbish.. as I nearly did at the beginning

You can even see in the distance monsters fighting each other!! and while they are bickering ambush them and finish em off!!       and the draw distance is amazing esepcially in Luce Plains!!

Music is just amazing

Ignored what you wrote to avoid spoilers, but due to payment issues, my copy didnt get here today, but I will be able to join in with this tomorrow, and I am looking forward to it greatly (no ToV in EU!)
