Seems like it wasn't long ago that all the analysts were saying Microsoft has been too slow to cut prices. So, no.

Yes, this is rediculous. They need to come out with a better price cut struckture. How about a globale price cut system like Sony has? That way they could look like they had one price cut a year instead of three.


But in reality no one outside of message boards even knows about price drops. People still think the PS3 is like $600 in the US and you have been able to get one for $400 for over a year. People don't really care about a price cut unless something is popualr. If Nin cut the price of Wii everyone on the streets would be talking about it. When the red headed step child (360) drops its price, the world looks the other way.



Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

no they should do it remain competive

but hell m$ redesign the whole shit.

do it slimmer more sturdy and especially reliable.

that would do more wonders than a pricecut.

True, that was the general impression, but everything changed since they announced publicly that they will outsell the PS3 this generation!

But when the hot topics are 50% price cut orientated its a little too much

Both Sony and Microsoft have had many price cuts in other parts of the world -- embarrassingly in Japan, Sony announced its first price cut the week before the console launched due to very weak anticipated demand.

Overall, though, Sony has had earlier price cuts than Microsoft given the same point in their life spans.  Sony dropped the price of the PS3 by $100 the first year it was out.  Microsoft's first price drop was late in its second year.
