Up until this point, Sony and Microsoft have had one price cut each in the US.  Tomorrow, Microsoft unveils its second price cut.

Both Sony and Microsoft have had many price cuts in other parts of the world -- embarrassingly in Japan, Sony announced its first price cut the week before the console launched due to very weak anticipated demand.

Overall, though, Sony has had earlier price cuts than Microsoft given the same point in their life spans.  Sony dropped the price of the PS3 by $100 the first year it was out.  Microsoft's first price drop was late in its second year.
