Damn, I was expecting like a 9.8.

I guess I'll just have to wait...I can't believe Spore is a disappointment!

Then again, IGN gave The Sims 2 an 8.9 and it (with expansions) is one of my favorite games ever, so...

Edit: Actually they gave it a 9.4. :(

While he brings up very valid points, his last appeal note just shows that he just did not get the game at all. There's so much content to play with doing so many different things that saying there's no game in it is like saying Halo isn't s shooter.

I'm not sure if I'm getting this, I have a feeling it'll be like me and Sims 2, play it for a couple of hours, get bored, come back a week later. Especially when there's so much other stuff coming out this holiday season, and next year.

Spore's winning factor is the customization. It doesn't matter if putting a part in a different spot gives the same damage bonuses, it's about making things that YOU want, even if it's the same as someone elses creature that just looks different. That's what Spore is about.

The game was WAY overhyped, but it will still be fun. End of story.

I just listened to a review that finished the game (amoeba to galactic empire) in one sitting (8 hours). Which is too short!!

I also remember watching an early video for the game which over 30mins showed how the game progresses from beginning to end. I remember at the end I was really impressed with all they were doing but disappointed that the video had just revealed it all!!

Still it looks like a very good game with some great unique features.
