Wow never knew the 360 had an 11 year plan (2005-2008+8).... and read my post above yours, I talk about access to HD games which whatever way you see it more expensive on PS3.

I personnaly bought my 360 in a bundle at 200 with 3 games 2 controlers (new). Sure my logic was different, it was "hey the console is only 30€ when I deduct the price of the games (GTA 60 Halo 40 PGR 40) (that were appealing to me) and the extra controler (30)"...

Of course the ps3 does have games, it's just that the 360 has more variety and depth. Not to mention XBLA which is just this short of awesome =/

Not only is the Xbox 360 cheap in every way, but it's also inexpensive -- you can buy it for just $199 each time it dies.  That, plus the cost of live assures that you probably won't spend more than $1000 on hardware + online access over the life of the console!

Selling your RROD/Refurb console isn't actually a bad idea. Refurbs with the HD still go for about $130ish on eBay or more (we'll see how that turns out with the price drop tho) which is esentially paying another $100 for a NEW three year warrantied XBox, atleast in Japan and US. I had no idea about the non-honored Europe RROD. That blows and MS should be sued for that.

My game collection is about equal between the PS3 and 360. No need for the arguing. I don't consider Halo and Gears the center of the gaming universe, though.

this is exactly how i interpreted you post. i already have a decent library of games for mg x360. so buying an arcade would be the best way to go. going out and buying a ps3 right now that is twice the price of an arcade would leave me broke with no games to play, literaly.

funny how some people like to spin things around.
