Forums - Microsoft - me, my x360, and my first rrod.

it's not a flawed logic.... 2xboxes = 1 PS3 so for your gaming console with many of the same games you can either
_spend and hope it doesn't RROD (33% of that means 66% of no failure... and you have warranty)
in which case you have 200$ of games.

Or you can buy the PS3 and have no games..

I personnaly bought my 360 in a bundle at 200 with 3 games 2 controlers (new). Sure my logic was different, it was "hey the console is only 30€ when I deduct the price of the games (GTA 60 Halo 40 PGR 40) (that were appealing to me) and the extra controler (30)"...

That's what you get for selling your PS3.

That just sad, and what even more sad is that he's going to get another xbox instead of PS3!

Man do you mind of not showing your PS3 fanboyism so much...

Buying another Xbox360 will cost him less anyway from buying a PS3

@Kirby
glad to have amused you :)

@Xen
no need to import, there are places where i can get a new one (less the warranty of course)

Shouldn't the rrod coverage still be on your console? They only ask for the serial number and see when it was manufactured. It shouldn't matter who owns it. IF it is younger than 3 years, you should be able to send it in.

already owned a ps3. sold it off and got a wii and an xbox360 for the exact same amount of money i got from selling me ps3. 2 consoles for the price of 1 = win win for me

plus, aside from mgs4, uncharted, heavenly sword and folklore (which i have already played), there isnt any exclusive game which tickles my fanncy at the moment. unlike the xbox360, i've yet to play lost odyssey and mass effect. and then there's last remnant and infinit undiscovery and tales of vesperia. sooooo....x360 it is.

and like sotos said, its cheaper to get an x360 since its half the price plus the fact that i already have a decent library of games for it.

i'll still get a ps3, no doubt about it. not just now. probably when gt4 (the full game) comes ot (next year or  2010) and ffxiii vs comes out or when they release a slim version as the x360 is plent big enough for me LOL

sadlly, microsoft doesn't honor warrenty here. soooooo....were left to rely on ourselves to get our x360s fixed. or we can try the many "self taught" rrod/3rl repair services. some are good, some are just wana bes. the trick is knowning which ones are really good and which ones are just out to make a quick buck.

I always tell everyone never to buy used 360's. You really want that three year warranty.

To those suggesting a ps3, I'm sorry guys but gaming wise sony's console doesn't cut it once you've had a 360 =/

Current-gen game collection uploaded on the profile, full of win and good games; also most of my PC games. Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts 1982-2008 (Requiescat In Pace).

@Bitmap Frogs
i agree. if you can avail of the warranty, you should always buy new. but since i cant avail of the warranty in any way or form then used or new doesnt make any difference.

and on the ps3 and its games, the ps3 does have its own awsome line up. there's mgs4, uncharted, heavenly sword and folklore etc etc etc. but since i'm more of an rpg gamer, and the x360 has the larger selection of rpgs then i agree with you. the ps3 rpg line up just wont cut it at the moment.
