well, got my first rrod yesterday. since i knew it would happen, wasnt too disapointed. got it used plus no warrananty here where i live so sending it in is not an option. all i can do is fix it myself. i was at least able to finish eternal sonata plus put in a good 5 hours of doa4 and 3 hours of sc4 on it.

i've read a lot of fixes for the rrod but i'm too lazy to try them at the moment. so i did the stupidest fix i could find. namely, wack it at the sides a bit. i gave it a good elbow smash, two fist hammer 2 hit combo.

funny thing is, its actually running now. hahaha! i know it wont last but hey, i'm not complaining. when it rrods again i'll probably do one of the more usefull fixes. either that or try a jump knee, jab, dragon punch 3 hit combo on it.

for the record, its not as bad as many lead to believe that it is. just my luck i guess. oh well, at least i still have a wii to play when me x360 finally kicks the bucket.

 edit:

well, its still working. huray fo me! this makes it the 2nd day that my "quick fix" is still holding up. i'll be doing the xclamp fix later, plus i'll probably add another fan or something. depends if i can get all the stuff i need today.

probably, but since using the elbow smash, hammer fist combo fix. i've been able to clock in 2 3 hour sessions on it. not bad for a stupid fix LOL!

probably too, but i have no regrets. plus, with the arcade going down in price (half the price of a ps3), it wont be that hard to get a new arcade.

how is this flawed, if people want to buy another console they can. i did but my old xbox had 4 rrod's so i didnt want the hassle of speaking to some east europeans and paying a arm and a leg to get it fixed
