Forums - Nintendo - Sony does what Nintendon't!

Alright today I noticed something, something that Sony does all the time but Nintendo has yet to ever do it With exception of Guitar Hero DS. Bundling their hardware with third party software, just one of the reasons Sony has such a reputation and following of third party support.

Nintendo's Wii is getting quite abit of support from third parties and Nintendo:DS has had so many major hits.  Bundles like GTA:ChinaTown or maybe a new Conduit Wii.

Do you think Nintendo could benefit from bundling hardware with third party software?

@The OP

You only make yourself look worse when you edit your post to avoid losing an argument.

The DS Guitar Hero: On Tour bundle still disagrees.

This is in the wrong place. Should be Sony Thread, not Nintendo.

Flamebait anyone?

well, apparently thats the only way they [Ps3/psp] get attention.

Plus nintendo doesnt have the need to do it. and like he/she ^ guitar hero bundle on the DS was ok.

As far as a third party bundle...i believe the third party will see the most benefit out of it. Nintendo's consoles are selling just great [excellent]. A "the conduit" bundle wiil be amazing for the sales of the game.

The answer is simple: Nintendo sells every hardware very fast, without giving free software.

Sony NEEDS to give free games to atract more people.

Nintendo generally only bundles when the hardware isn't selling. There was a ToS GCN bundle in Japan.

Most of the DS bundles have stayed in Japan, there was a FFXII: Revenant Wings DS/bundle and there will most likely be a Dragon Quest IX DS/bundle as well.

Do you really think Nintendo cares about 3rd parties? I don't. They are probably satisfied with doing their own thing, and don't like to be come dependent on 3rd parties, or else when they do lose third party support, and the console is dependent on them they will start to lose sales. This has happened with the Snes-N64, and right now is hapening to the PS3(360 has much more third party support, and there aren't to many exclusives on either console to really warrant a purchase). So Nintendo does their own thing, and I don't see how this would benefit them.

Edit: Also they are doing fine with out the major third party support for the Wii, and did fine without it for the DS, so I don't see why this is important.

The bundles are there to help the PS3/PSP sell more. The Wii is still selling out so a bundle wouldn't make much sense...
