Both Sony and MS are billions of dollars in the loss column this generation. That's the only thing we know for sure.

How the f' is this an argument? If the OP had made a case of this or even shown he really was interested in a discussion of the financial repercussions of this for Microsoft it would be a valid thread, but he is obviously a Sony Fanboy and a idiot who would rather see the 360 fail then to have the competition that makes Sony do things it never would have otherwise. I will not go so far as to say that a certain couple of people love their PS3s enough to warrant psychological help, but I certainly think they should step back and take a breather from their unorthodox thoughts.

Ironic considering that you obviously didn't see the financial results for last quarter.

And MSs financial results for this quarter will too be considerably worse than Sony's.

 

Considering they're both losing tons of money I don't think Sony fans can say "LOLOL MS BAD DECISION!" or MS fans can say "LOLOL SONY BAD DECISION!" when that's being hypocritical...

Sonys game division made 51mil last quarter.

 You have your facts backwards, Sony is trailing Microsoft. You people love to ignore the bigger picture just because small weekly increments give you hope. You need to give it up that the PS3 is not the PS2. Sony took a totally different route this gen and they are paying dearly for it. Microsoft can play that game too. A price drop will produce larger results than that of Sony. Sony has a year or so until they can afford to pander to the same crowd Microsoft has waited to be attracting this year.

Nope, $200 mil loss.

Microsoft as a whole isn't having any financial difficulties.  According to the financial data Jaggedsac posted MS generated more revenue, and made more profits this year than last, as well as performing better this quarter than last. 

This thread is just you spreading FUD, pure and simple.

I heard the Zune drained like half a billion from the E&D division.  See I can make baseless claims as well as other people on this forum.  Not talking to the guys I quoted, but others.
