It is never quite clear to me if the Nintendo hate is self-imposed or imposed externally. In other words, is it people who own the Wii who want it to be all things to all who are such a pain, or those who fear the Wii because they see it becoming all things to all people who are such a pain.

Wii Music is a "game" for everyone. It will have surprisingly high sales as nursing homes and nurseries buy the game. (Actually, it will appeal to those who have children and those who are older -- I am the former and often feel like the latter).

 People don't hate Wii Music for being casual.  Wii Sports is great fun.  Wii Fit has its' place within certain circles, but can be fun for anyone.  Hell, even Wii Play has some fun minigames.  This is literally the first game where you can play normally or shake the Wiimote like you have epilepsy and still accomplish the same thing.  Hell, it isn't even a game!

I generally let my 5-year-old son pick out the games he wants to play and I introduce him to things he might not have considered. I play a lot of more hardcore-ish games with him, and some arcadey titles. That said, if he picks, say, Manhunt 2 or Mortal Kombat off the shelf, I tell him that we aren't playing that together because it's no appropriate for him. He picks Lego Star Wars all the time. I hate Lego Star Wars. It's so bloody boring. I showed him Die Hard Arcade (Saturn) and Twisted Metal III (PS1) instead. They're both Teen-rated titles that really don't have any more violence than a lot of Saturday-morning cartoons. Plus, I can just turn off the blood in Die Hard Arcade. Wii Music, however, still doesn't appeal to me even if my kid might have fun. He had fun playing Atari2600 games like Combat and Outlaw with me. I'll get Wii Sports Resort (mostly for Motion Plus), and just keep playing higher quality hardcore games with him.

If the game is decent, not good - just decent, it will sell 1.25 million just because of reviews, the Nintendo name, and forum hype.

A decent Nintendo game is hyped like a perfect 10 third party games by Nintendo fanboys...

I really hope Disaster turns out great, but until we actually find something out about this damn game, I'm not expecting much.

We can forget that is of creator of Chrono trigger, Chrono Cross and Xenogear
for 3 of my top 5 titles of all time

I hope to get this game when it releases. The European release date was so unexpectedly early.
