Haha, yeah. It's as if Ck was saying "AH HA! Got you! You prefer the Wii!"

Which strikes me as no different than saying "You have opinions!" Yes, I do prefer the PC and the Wii. I've stated it many times on these boards -- heck, just today I made a list of games I'm looking forward to, and the list was dominated by PC and Wii titles.

The only issue would be if I let my preferences taint my understanding of the facts. For example -- I candidly admit that the PC is a dwindling, if not outright dying, platform. Whether I like it or not, that's the truth. If I insisted that wasn't the case, then that really would be a problem. But simply preferring some systems to others? Obviously that's both natural and okay. Heck, in that post I just linked to, 7 of my 10 chosen games are for the Wii/PC; 8 of Ck's 10 are for 360/PS3, so he tilts even further. All three of the games he's currently playing are for Playstation or Xbox in his sig. Again -- everyone has preferences.

I feel that RE4 for Wii was kind of a no-win situation for the Wii in some ways.

A success means Capcom and others might just port their old series to the Wii instead of actually taking the effort and creating compelling new content.

A failure might have caused Capcom and others to take a step back and assume that Wii fans might not be interested in hardcore games so they instead completely focus on casual games.

The real test though will be Umbrella Chronicles and hopefully it's a success so that Capcom and others realize that there are fans of hardcore games on all the consoles.

Everyone who owns a Wii must buy this game. Bodhesatva commands it!

Why are you suddenly excited about a violent console shooter, I thought you hated those... Or is it that the truth is coming out ;) (as in it was just a way to bash PS3 and 360 games)

The truth about Bodhesatva is indeed coming out. He shows his true face lately. All the horrible pictures he sent me over the course of the last few days.

I've already demanded a ban, but stof didn't react. We have to get rid of Bod.

I tried Rol! I really did, but he came at me with kitties! Oh the kitties! *curls up in ball and cries*

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Honestly, I would LOVE to see RE: 1, 2, and 3 updated to Wii graphics with RE4 controls and a $30 price tag.  I would buy them up so fast.  Hopefully though the success of RE4 and (eventual we can hope) success of RE:UC gives the Wii many of it's own unique hardcore capcom titles, and perhaps the opportunity for it's own unique version of RE5 (which as I mentioned above would probably mean I had to buy the game twice, once for PS3 or 360 and then again for Wii).

I'd love to a SEQUEL to RE4 (not exactly sure what the background/story for RE5 is). An outbreak of the creatures from RE4 in a city - that would be cool.

My only fear is, that is UC does REALLY well - we only ever get "light gun" RE games ever again. Of course if its enough fun, this isn't a problem.

It would be REALLY awesome to have a mix between the two (full shooter & full exploration).

Gesta Non Verba

Nocturnal is helping companies get cheaper game ratings in Australia:

Game Assessment website

Wii code: 2263 4706 2910 1099

I might be interested in remakes IF they put all the games from 0 to 3 +CV on one disk, or a multidisk game that's sold for cheap. Otherwise there's no way I'm paying for games I already own.

Let's hope UC sells well, and that they'll eventually decide to port number five over to the Wii. The developers might not be the same as behind RE4, but the decision makers haven't changed AFAIK. =P

When Capcom last did the re-releases on the GC (with the exception of RE1), they didn't update the graphics or price them cheap.  Maybe Capcom will learn from that mistake and this time and give the fans what they really want. :)

Numbers are like people. Torture them enough and you can get them to say anything you want.

VGChartz Resident Thread Killer

before buying RE4 wii edition, i wanted to buy the GC ports of the old RE but after playing with the new controls, it's impossible for me to imagine playing a RE-type game with those clunky controls and i'd really digg playing the older RE with the new control scheme. So give me these "ports", UC, and then RE5, and i'll be in heaven...

Except what I've mentioned before add a "testing machine" to it, as what the WII stands for according to developers *sigh*.

By the way... if my friend reads the part about "remaking games from Resident Evil" serie, he will faint! He told me the last time that the controls of RE4 are the best he has ever seen in survival horror games. Don't experience it myself I'm too chicken to play these kind of games... too sc..sc..scary for me. He was hoping for remakes of Resident Evil on the WII with the same kind of control handling.
