I really just enjoy how people believe that Haze was hyped more than Too Human. And how people are not caring that IU, an RPG, is 15-20 hours long. That's like the anti-rpg. Action/Adventure games are supposed to be 15-20 hours, RPGs should be 30-40+ hours.

Of course, I haven't played the game yet, but if it is that short, and with repetitive side missions, I don't see how it could garner much more than a seven.

I could care less if the game was long or longer or shorter. I have a hard time beating games. I tend to play them and move on to the next. 15-20 is a lot in my book. And you seem to be the only one that pointed that out.

Of course you could care less.

You buy games left and right and don't finish them... ^_^

You got that right and its a awesome feeling now...I have a job and can be happy with all these games I never got the chance to playing them :)

Agreed..Lair was indeed hyped like crazy...Haze was going to be the "halo-killer" but quickly made a huge 360 degree leap into failure...according to the press.

To be honest I haven't seen to much hype regarding Infinite Undiscovery, maybe it was overshadowed by Tales of Vesperia.

Haze was a Halo Killer?

Are you crazy?

Or, please link me to a post that said that.

ummm...no link is needed..Plenty of people accused Haze being the next Halo-killer. That started way back when the game was in development.

So if no link was neccessary cuz plenty of people said it, you wouldn't mind finding one of the many that said it. They hype for the game pretty much died upon IGN's preview of the game, and the delay from Winter to march, then to may. By the time march came around, and no one was talking, they hype was dead before may even hit.

While Too Human, and IU were hyped very much, up until release, then all of a sudden, the games are not hyped.

Too Human had a lot of hype(it was one of the most hyped 360 games of 2008).  IU got a little bit of hype from what I can tell but I am not exactly sure how much

Tales of Vesperia was why Infinite Undiscovery didn't get hype because Tales of Vesperia was taking in all the attention. Which in turn left Infinite Undiscovery with lack of time for reviewers to play it.

Thats the only RPG that will stick out of all the other RPGs that had attempted to put a dent on the RPG crowd on the 360 IMO.

6.5 is kinda low. I might still try it out.

sigh, not a single astonishing jrpg available yet, on any platform....

I hope TLR turns out to be a solid fun rpg.

Developers have been focused on FPS for so long, now there is an open window to launch an solid new rpg IP without competition from FF.

Any game review below 8/10 is below average. 8' and 9's are handed out to most games these days from reviewers.

Gamespot gave Folklore a 7 and Disgaea 3 a 7.5.  I only watched about half of Folklore at a buddy's place, but I've played through a good bit of Disgaea 3 on my roomie's new PS3, and I think the game is definitely better than a 7.5

I've basically come to accept that unless the game is called "Final Fantasy", western reviewers give JRPGs about 1 to 1.5 points in score less than I would give the same game. I've got some other shit to finish, and then I'm going to tackle ToV and IU.  I think I might play through IU first.

Oh... and DmeisterJ, I beat Final Fantasy 12 in about 25 hours my first playthrough just cause I wanted to get through it and wasn't really enjoying the combat or the story.  I'll eat my hat if "15 hours" is the entirety of IU, cause you and I both know it isn't, especially when you throw in Tri-Ace's famous bonus dungeons.

 i agree completely.

I never follow reviews for JRPGS. IF it looks good ill go get it.

People need to stop following reviewers honostly...
