Again, laziness!  I don't want Jedi to use Sith powers.  This is gonna blow.

Your first mistake is using an old article.

Current reviews of the game are scoring it pretty well, so the problems probably aren't as bad as you fear.  Besides, I never expected the duel mode to be 1-player.  I guess it'd be nice...

 

 

 I never expected it to NOT be 1 player.  What kind of fighting game doesn't let you play 1 player?

Do you know what really sucks? Not having Duel Mode at all.

 I was originally gonna buy the Wii version for the duel mode but after hearing this i'm gonna buy the PS3 version. The Duel mode's BS if you can't even play against an AI oponent.

if the dual mode was a full fledged fighting game, what would be the point of the clone wars exclusive fighting game that is comming out for Wii??

I actually agree...I was excited...untill they announced that there would actually be 5 different version of the apprentice in this mode..

besides that: all the characters are based off of the apprentice:
no dual light sabers, no double light sabers, no unique moves

so..I agree

THUS: Star Wars Clone Wars:Light saber Duels is TEH SW game of this year

If you really wanna get into lore. Lightning is used by jedi too. Remember the jedi who died in the aircraft when order 66 was executed? Yeah he used lightning as one of his attacks. Also, HUGE story spoiler about the game udner this, just for the heck of it:

Starkiller, the apprentice, forms the rebellion

Don't read that unless you want want to have the gist of the sotry line ruined.

Why does the thread starter think this is a fighting game, and NOT an action/adventure game that has the duel mode as an extra?

The OP should really start doing his homework. This is not a fighting game, so that complaint is invalid.



A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

 I'm well aware that the duel mode is an extra.  Don't assume I'm ignorant.  The duel mode was supposed to be a big selling point for the Wii version.  No CPU AI and Jedi using force lightning = no sale for me and I'm sure I'm not alone.

I'm not going question you for not buying the game for the above reasons is just your knowledge on stars wars sucks. Older Luke Skywalker can use lighting and most jedi that strong in force can to as long there alignment is not extremely to right i.e Yoda,Obi-wan and basically everybody on former Jedi Council. Yeah, in the expanded universe Luke turns to the dark side a couple of times. That said, meh, I guess I'll just wait for Clone Wars.
