Forums - Nintendo - IGN Reviews Super Mario RPG!

A classic! I really enjoyed that game... I would download it to play it again. :3

The game is still good, but by today's standard, it's nothing special. Sure, it's cheap, but I still find it a bit overated here by IGN.

Nintendo/Square Enix did a genious by sending this to VC - in less than 2 weeks, it clocked in more than 3/4 of a million dollars revenue.

That is VGChartz LONGEST review. And it's NOT Cute Kitten DS

Beja-Beja wants to play more RPG's on his PS3 but they are only released for his Wii, that's why he is reacting like that, his PS3 needs to stop gathering dust but he can't find a way as these timeless RPG's and classic gems are being poured continuously on the VC.

the ucky part is that I can still hook up my SNES and play SMRPG any day.

There's also the ability to play it on PC and PSP whenever I feel like it.

I don't see why everyone is upset IGN reviews old games released on the VC, the games are graded on a different scale, mostly based on how great they are for that console and how well they stood the test of time. SMRPG is well deserving of a 9.5 it's the third best RPG on the SNES close behind Earthbound and FFIV (which should be on the VC ASAP)

Stealing games is not a valid alternative to paying Nintendo's reasonable prices.

Complexity is not depth. Machismo is not maturity. Obsession is not dedication. Tedium is not challenge. Support gaming: support the Wii.

What do I hate about modern gaming? I hate tedium replacing challenge, complexity replacing depth, and domination replacing entertainment. I hate the outsourcing of mechanics to physics textbooks, art direction to photocopiers, and story to cheap Hollywood screenwriters. I hate the confusion of obsession with dedication, style with substance, new with gimmicky, old with obsolete, new with evolutionary, and old with time-tested.
There is much to hate about modern gaming. That is why I support the Wii.

Really great game! My favorite Mario RPG. I remember renting it with my brother and cousin. We played it all day long and managed to beat the game in the two days rental time (maybe we played a bit too much!!)

Signature goes here!

They only recently put FFIV on the DS, and about two years before, on the GBA.  If it does show up on the VC (which is unlikely), it probably won't happen until Square-Enix runs out of ways to make money remaking it.

...because ssj12 loves when you quote him, and then brag about pirating stuff.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

This game deserve that score.

I enjoyed this game back in the day, but I never enjoyed it as much as Super Mario World, FF IV or FF VI.

Edit: Oh and definately not as much as Shaddow Run. <- My favorite SNES game.
