Not that much for both.
Mad World is likely to bomb.

I am not buying any of these two so whatever.

^^^ This is what you get for blowing a rumor out of proportion

Chocobo brain damage!!! Here, drink this diet Coke..*runs*

Currently playing :

VC - Ogre Battle March of the Black Queen
Wii - New Super Mario Bros. Wii
DS - Glory of Heracels

If both of them are great games, they better sell, otherwise......

IT'S CLOBBERIN' TIME!!

Just kiss the tip.

None of them over 500K, in my opinion The conduit is not going to get good reviews, they said that the graphics would look like 360s and the reviewers will look for that and wont find it. So poor reviews = low sales, specially in new IP. Madworld will get better scores but my feeling is that it is too gory for the Wii.

They will sell. They wont do MKWii numbers or WiiFit numbers but I think they will sell a bit more than expected. If the current trends continue, the Wii install base will be even greater. As we all know Install base can be everything in the long term. More owners = more buyers. PS2 is a great example of this.

Despite what many Internet Hardcore nerds will say, the Wii is selling software. The numbers dont lie. 3rd party developers make money on sku's that cost less to make. Big budget games are starting to see the cut into their profits despite selling really well. Its also a bigger risk.

I plan on buying both games even though they dont have hyper-pixel-raytraced-havok-phyics-uber-nerd-technology.

Wii Motion Plus will come with Wii Sports Resort for free, basically.  Tons of people, hardcore and casual alike, will have that device, and I'm sure, in the future, Wiimotes will probably come with it standard.

The Conduit actually doesn't look "way worse" than all that many other FPS titles--clearly, E3 showed that it was mistaken for an Xbox360 game on several occasions.  Good graphics are good graphics, and good gameplay is good gameplay.  The graphics whores that overlook The Conduit just because it's "not as good as X360 or PS3" not only don't matter where sales are concerned, but are hardly worth their weight in shit anyway.  If all you care about are HD graphics, all you're doing is advertising how small your brain really is.

First ,you should take your insults back.

Second ,the Conduit is being hyped mainly because its a Wii game that dont look as a late Game Cube effort but something (slighty) more appealing visually. But ,it doesnt look half as good as the top thier 360 or PS3 FPS,much less when it comes out and the likes of Resistence 2,Call of Duty 5 and Gears of War 2 are out.WHats the point in the "look at those graphics !" arguement when "those graphics" are still way below PS3 and 360 standars? Many of the potential Wii  buyers of a FPS already have a 360 or PS3.The Conduits graphics wont amaze them at all ,and the online playing and all will be far worse that most PS360 offers. And the Motion Plus thing is true ...even if it sold like 10 million along Wii Sports resort that would still put the potential userbase at 1/3 of the current Wii userbase.

I really only insulted graphics whores, and really, they deserve it because they're one of the things wrong with modern gaming.  They're as bad as those asinine morons that believe that a game isn't "hardcore" unless it's an FPS or some MMORPG.

And your point is essentially, "if it doesn't look as good as late-gen PS3/X360 titles, then it's wrong to think graphics are good or to be impressed by them."

So, going with your logic, it's wrong to think God of War is graphically impressive.  It's wrong to think Okami is a beautiful game.  It's wrong to think Rogue Squadron and Rebel Stike looked freakin' outstanding.  It's wrong to be impressed by Donkey Kong Country or Chrono Trigger or Vectorman.  Wrong to be impressed with Shenmue on Dreamcast, or Nights on Saturn.  You know, because those are old obsolete, non-HD graphics.  So to be impressed by that stuff in the face of Resistance 2 is wrong and stupid.  You know, I was just playing the Genesis Gunstar Heroes last night, and damn if I wasn't impressed with some of what I saw in there.

Basically, in your mind, it's wrong to be surprised and say "wow, look at those graphics!" if said graphics are appearing in anything other than the highest-budgeted HD titles.

By the time The Conduit actually comes out, I will have an Xbox360 and just because it's not as graphically intense as the average late-generation X360 FPS doesn't mean I'm going to be stupid and pass it up.  Metroid Prime 3 showed me that control really is where it counts--pretty graphics help with the immersion factor, but only an idiot plays games based solely on graphics alone.  I got tired of Gears of War and Army of Two fairly quickly because I felt their control was clunky after I had already gotten used to playing something as streamlined as MP3.  I'm very eager to have more FPS action with that kind of killer gameplay.  That doesn't mean I view Bioshock as inferior just because it still uses the 2-generations-old dual-analog kind of set-up.  I know I can get used to that seemingly archaic control style because Bioshock fucking rules in every other way.

What's the point in being impressed with graphics if they aren't "as good" as on the HD systems?  Honestly, that's a pretty stupid question.  What's the point in dismissing a game that looks great just because it doesn't look as fantabulous as, say, Resistance 2?  Sure, The Conduit's graphics won't amaze all, that's where the gameplay takes over.  And you're making a blind assumption that the online will be worse.  Really, no one has any idea what these guys are cookin' up.  I may argue that since the gameplay is smoother because it's a faster and more advanced play style than the old dual-analog set-up, the online play may actually be more frantic and more fun.

What's funny is, you said yourself that even if only a third of the Wii owners snag Wii Motion Plus, that's all the audience is (wrong anyway since the device won't be necessary to play the game), that's still a whopping 10 million people.  By the time The Conduit launches, that'd be more like 12 or 13 million people.  To put that in perspective, there are only 15 million people total that own PS3's and the Dreamcast only ever amassed sales of about 10 million.  I don't know what's going on in your head, but 10 million people is still quite a lot of people.  "Only" ten million potential customers?  But then again, when The Conduit launches, and since it won't require Motion Plus, that's more like 35-40 million potential customers.  Even with all the Blue Ocean folks, those ain't bad odds.

I think it depends a lot on advertising. Also since these are games geared for the forum goer demographic, a good score would be a major deciding factor as well.

I'll bet someone a VC game that they'll both break a million within their first full year of sales.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

yes they will

No comment, but I think we should be tossing Disaster: Day of Crisis into this discussion.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?
