Essentially, all you need is the title of this thread to know what it's about. Finally, Ninteno put something worthwhile on that bloody Nintendo Channel instead of stupid commercials of celebrities attempting to understand the DS! Like the earlier released PC demo, this is simply a demo of the Spore Creature Creator with a bit of news on the upcoming game. Has a psuedo 3-D, "Paper Mario" like quality to the graphics, but the animation seems pretty good so far. Not a ton of options (it is a demo), but a fairly decent start. I've been playing with it for an hour already. Longest I've ever played a DS demo! Oh, and this is mostly pertaining to North America because I'm not really sure how the Nintendo Channel operates elsewhere. So take a break from downloading Super Mario RPG (we've all played it by now anyway, if you haven't killed Culex a dozen times over by now, you must have failed somewhere in the past at life!) and load up Spore into your DS!

I downloaded it earlier tonight. I'm definitely interested, but still on the fence because the demo only lets you play with the creature creator and walk around on that generaly empty island.

Honestly it reminds me of EVO but with freaky art direction.

I had fun with it. I can't wait to see how many more options exist in the actual game. Seeing how simple the graphics are, and knowing that DS cards can reach 2 Gigabits in size, it should have a pretty high number of options.

My original understanding was that the DS game ould only really cover the earliest phase of the game. I'm glad to see that they seem to have found a way to incorporate pretty much all the rest of the regular game into it (according to the demo).

It's pretty lame. All you can really do is make the creature with limited parts. It does give some nice details about your creature though, but this hardly gives a good impression of the DS version.
