Gears was released at a great time when it barely had any competition. It might be a great game, but putting other games down because of it is beyond me. I bet none of you have played the first killzone, it was released at the worst possible times and got ignored. That does not make its sequel bad automatically. Let's wait and see

Personally i prefferd Killzone to Gears1. Gears was confused it didnt know whether it wanted to be FPS or TPS, that view is apsolutley horrible imo

You're cool in my book being we are Tekken guys n all, but Gears 1 destroys Killzone. The game made no sense compared to gears nor was half as enthralling in the story mode.

 

 

You cant really compare A PS2 game to a 360 one tho, Once Killzone 2 comes out then we can do a fair comparison of Killzone 2 Vs Gears 2

A franchise's previous installments bear little holding over how good the next itteration might be. The original CODs wer not that great yet COD4 is amazing. Or DMC1 was awsome yet DMC 2 was down right terrible. The Halo's popularity dissipated with age as the installments continued. Each game has to prove itself as a good game. KZ1 was not that popular, but by the looks of the 2nd one, it looks to make up for all of it's predecessors short comings....and then some.

Gears was a good game, Gears 2 will probably be a good game. KZ2 looks tremendously better then KZ1 which also happened to be a last gen game so it has come a farther way. You cannot faulty anyone for being a little excited over it. Just surf the web and see what the game is going to be offering that Gears2 doesnt....
