Probably 60/40 split favouring PS3 worldwide.

I anticipate a huge lead for the PS3.

Japan adding as much as 1-2 million in sales alone to total will be the main deciding factor though.

it depends on the install base of both consoles when the game is released

1) US sales might favour the Xbox, but Versus might play a role as well

2) Japan will go entirely towards the PS3

3) Install base difference will be reduced (normally) so the lead the xbox has, will play less of a role

4) PS is the brand most people connect FF with, which will push more people towards the PS-version I feel

Worldwide: No. Asia (Japan at least) is getting the game exclusively for PS3. And the PS3 has surpassed the 360 in Europe now, hasn't it?

In the US, that's possible. But even I think that's somewhat unlikely. Most die-hard Final Fantasy fans would've gotten a PS3 by now. Those who haven't will probably get a PS3 anyways for Versus. And I don't think we'll see that many newcomers through the 360 either. I've talked to all of my friends who own a 360 (that's a lot by the way) and they don't plan on picking it up nor do they think it'll sell well. Although there have been a lot of surprises this gen...

I think it's a pretty safe bet to say that the game will sell best on the PS3 since it's PS3 exclusive in JPN....

And JPN always has the least amount of consoles sold compared to US and Others..... Yet JPN's where most of the Final Fantasy sales still come from..... look up the first 5 week sales of FFIV DS remake and see for yourself how huge the difference in numbers are.....
