I didn't realize SotC was the first game to have huge bosses.

While the similarity lies on the huge bosses. There are some differences.

On SotC you only fight the Colossi, but on this game you fight a lot more enemies

All game developers look at features from another titles to see what may combine best with the game they are working on. Look at Gears of War, it uses many elements from many games and the combination resulted in a good product

 Odds are they'll stick with the "consumers don't need to know how to pronounce our game's name" tactic which worked so well for Okami.

Doesn't the name Kizuna mean "Golden Bonds"? I bet they'll name it Golden Bonds then :P

 

That's worse than Infinite Undiscovery....almost.  No..I think they'll do better than that.

the games name still is Ougon no Kizuna or "The Golden Bond(s)"

 

"Kizuna" alone is a quite famous gay-anime (shounen ai) ( I know most of the shounen ai/yaoi anime by name to absolutely make sure I'll never make the mistake to buy one of them - know your enemy )

thats pretty much everything in shadow of the colossus.

also big monster fur used in the boss points the idea was taken from it.
