Alright, HappySquirrel, you are acting like Palin's personal attack dog, so just do me a favor. Watch that video and tell me you still think there isn't even a chance that this is true.

Much like the conspiracy theory that "Obama is really a Muslim" I find this to be remarkably moronic, and like the people who supported that theory I am losing a lot of respect for people here.

I find it remarkably unlikely that McCain would have a running mate who was involved in such an unlikely and convoluted conspiracy that was (according to your video) known about months ago.

When did it say that? I remember him saying there were some questions about her lack of showing a while ago but nothing about the actual coverup.

Its more apparent in this picture to me. Her breasts also look slightly larger in this pic (often happens to pregnant women), which may or may not be related. May just be the clothes she is wearing or the angle.

Does this mean that the (roughly) 1/3 of girls at local highschools who have bellies and growing breasts are pregnant?

Not like that. I see ~100 girls her age every day (small school) many of them slightly overweight, and that picture looks nothing like it.

Definitely looks more like a pregnany to me.

Exactly, girls tend to spread the weight out on their bodies more evenly.  Male fat accumulates primarily at the belly while female fat accumulates in the hip and thigh area with some of it accumulating on the arms and the stomach once they get a little bit fatter.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. HappySquirrel...if I were you I would take a cautiously skeptical approach to this story (the same as I am, btw).  You're making personal attacks against members for merely reporting rumors and speculating on their veracity.  No respect needs be lost if everyone keeps a level head.

Hey Obama got famous with his keynote speech in 2004, so at least we all knew who he was for 4 years.

Obama and McCain are both running on the Washington outsider angle, as aisle-crossers who want to clean up the mess. However, one's been in the mess since before many voters were born.

Personally, I don't give a shit about the experience arguments either way. That was McCain's argument, and he destroyed it himself with the Palin pick. My backlash against Palin's experience is more about laughing at McCain than anything.

...

I'm going to be as polite as I can be here, from what I have seen with your posts recently you're the CrazzyMan of the Democratic party. It doesn't matter what the Repbulicans do or say (or who they have as a candidate) you're going to be opposed to it, and it doesn't matter what the Democrats do or say (or who they have as a candidate) you're going to support it.

No offense taken.  Being compared to CrazzyMan in any way is a huge honor.  However, it wasn't the Democratic Party that led me to Obama, it was my left-libertarian beliefs.  I voted for Kucinich in 2004 and wanted to again (he's the only Democrat in the same quadrant of the political spectrum as me), and without him, I'm voting based on universal health care, fewer tax breaks for big businesses and the super-wealthy, and a supposed foreign policy that will hopefully talk to more countries and use more diplomacy than force.

But can you paint a hypothetical scenario in which Palin gets out of this with any chance of a career?

She either got on a plane while in labor (like she said), making her a horrible negligent mother and basically insane, or she's lying to cover up her daughter's baby.

If you believe what she says, then she's a horrible negligent mother.  How can she be telling the truth and not be a horrible negligent mother at the same time?

She's yelling out "Hey everybody I got a plane while in labor, I am a horrible negligent mother!"

I hope she's lying, because I think the lie is just barely bad (but stupid), and for the good cause of trying to protect her daughter.  But if she's telling the truth, I think she's evil and nutty.  And so do many doctors and women who've had kids.

Hooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooly CRAP!!!!

IF this turns out to be true or even enough truth that every media outlet keeps bringing it up this greatly kills her career and proves that McCain and his advisory team are absolutely not fit for the job as President of these United States.

Also, HappySqurriel you clearly sound more like a political fanboy far more than anyone else on this thread. You have to admit that so far the evidence is leaning towards her 16 yr old daughter as being the mother.

These rumors are completely independent of the VP choice then, which means they at least weren't conconcted as a direct response to her being picked as a VP.

Show me any theories about Obama being a Muslim that predate the entire election cycle (pre-2007 at least, preferably closer to 2004 or when he was running for Senate) and I will completely agree with you.

Here are several legitimate sources that debunk the rumor too:

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/fact-checker/2008/06/was_obama_a_muslim.html

http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/01/22/obama.madrassa/

But in related news, I did find this photo, which may clarify all of this:

OMG though this one was too funny to pass up:

I'm not an american and I don't (really) care who wins the election so I don't think I can be a political fanboy ...

The fact of the matter is she is a 16 year old girl who is a little chubby who carries her extra weight exactly like my friend's daughter who is not pregnant; either that or she has been pregnant for the past 3 years. At the same time her mother looks exactly like my former director looked when she was (about) 7 months pregnant, which was right before she left for maternity leave.

This theory has no more merit than when people were claiming that Obama was a muslim.

It shows up differently on different girls. With the factors mentioned above its very unlikey that Sarah wouldn't show at that stage.
