Forums - General - Who will win the 2008 Presidential Election?

I think Bush pretty much screwed the Republicans over with his failed policies. No one wants more of the help the rich screw the poor and let big business run Washington. Even McCain is too much of a Republican to be elected after bush ruined the American Economy, failed to catch Osama, and nearly failed in Iraq

close call really, but I'm hoping Obama.

Looking like obama right now but you never know. I hope he wins though.

McCain--Palin is a great debater. She will give Biden a good run for his Obama-money. BTW, I would use Rasmussen. The OP's source looks 3rd rate.

Obama will win... but then will not live up to the hype. Who would've guessed it?

Did you check out the site?  He complies polls from several agencies including Zogby and Rasmussen.  I followed the site during the last election cycle and found it to be highly accurate.  I'd like to know how you justify it as being 3rd rate.  Because it just sounds like someone who comes into VGChartz and claims our numbers to be inaccurate without actually following them or researching the site.  And I'm sure you wouldn't want to be one of those people.

From the articles of the TC's link, the creator is pretty biased. But the numbers seem solid.

Obama, clearly. The US is tired of the GOP, and it's time for a change. Now I can only hope my idiot country does the same when the election is announced in a few weeks.

im sure we will have no problem not electing someone from the GOP in canada, so you have nothing to worry about.

But just like VGC....just because ioi's a Nintendo fanboy....doesn't mean that the Wii isn't winning.

I don't know who is going to win, but I do think that people are underestimating McCain and are not paying attention to things that may negatively impact Obama ...

One thing I have noticed is that Obama has stopped seeing popularity gains since he won the primary, and I think one of the biggest reasons for this is that he is overexposed in the media and people are starting to get burned out. This is not the biggest problem in the world but it is one of the common problems for why some politicians peak too early ... if the media keeps pushing him as hard as they're he could see a couple of point decline in popularity and it could become hard to get the turn-out he needs to win.
