Ok, we know it is coming so here are the USA numbers for titles people will compare to Too Human:

Lair - 74k
Haze - 92k

Too Human is not so bad compared to these titles.

Relative to the userbase size?  They are about on par with each other when you take in to account the userbase size at the time.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

If you think this game cost $80 million, you're an idiot, sorry.

But it still looks like it will struggle to break even.

10 years of development means a lot of money spent on wages.

Don't believe everything some random dude on the internet tells you.

Too Human, 10 years ago.

And dont believe everything a developer who has something to sell you tells you. Or do you think they didnt pay the people making these builds and developing the game till they seriously (no really, we mean it this time) started working on the game for the 360? if so then your an idiot. Sorry.

I dont think it cost 100 million, but I would be shocked if it didnt approach 25-30 million dollars over its ten year development cycle. They worked on it on and off over those 10 years, but they still worked on it. Building it, tearing it down, re building it, new engines and legal battles all add up.

I own all three current consoles and a great gaming rig, now thats out of the way.

"is it Wii FIt that has sold as many as PS3's sold? Thats a LOL Look at the total sales of software is it just me that sees Nintendo titles hitting 10m+ and you say they arent making a difference? Another LOL!"

"Hell, with all the negative hype Sony spin, people just aren't interested cost is too high and to get the true HD experience (1080p, 7.1 surround) you will need a $1000+ system. THAT IS GOING TO DO IT IN A RECESSION! PS4 will not happen"

...

How is 25-30 even close to 100?

There is absolutely no way a developer the size of SK could have afforded to spend $80-100 million on a game. Despite the critical acclaim of some of their games, most weren't commercial successes (including MGS and ED), so where would that amount of money come from in the first place?

Also, "your an idiot"? Ironic.

too human in terms of microsofts budget is an 80 million dollar TRILOGY, so do the math if you're able.

Note: Some games in my collection are no longer owned, but have owned.

Really? We are going to play the grammar game? Usually I would pick your previous posts apart like an English teacher that smells blood in the water, but your not worth my time. 10 hours working will make one ignore the finer points of english, like adding the 're to the end of you're.

I'll post the part you obviously missed when reading my post, way to skim a 5 sentence post.

"I dont think it cost 100 million, but I would be shocked if it didn't approach 25-30 million dollars"

Emphasis mine.

Also kudos and glossing over the fact that Too Human was seriously in development 10 years ago, despite what SK told everyone.

Anywho, Im done here, as posted above, MS has a 80 million budget for a trilogy for Too Human, so that makes my 25-30 million number spot on. I take this as a victory, even if a minor one, as all victories on the internet are. Toodles.

Too Bad, it could have been awesome. After this I wouldnt be surprised if SK gets swallowed up by a larger company. They may not ever get the chance to rebound. Only time will tell.

Yeah it seems Too Human didn't do to well, I guess people were turned off by bad press.

25-30 mil still alot of money. I doubt this one is gonna break even.

Now Playing: The Witcher (PC)

Consoles Owned: NES, SNES, N64, PS1, PS2, Wii, Xbox 360, Game Boy, DS

it will have a lifetime sales of over 1 million enough to break even and thats about it, i have the game and i like it. if sk does get bought up i think it will be by ms or nintendo, since nintendo does own stock in the company. and in the new oxm sk says that a sequel to ed could happen soon, since of nintedo's stock in the company.
