Yeah thats true but don't forget that the market grows each gen so you can't really use numbers of units to do fair comparison but rather using market share.

As for the war between PS3 and X360, it could takes 2-3 years before PS3 outsell X360 and when that will happens nobody will really care because the gen would be near its end and Wii will probably have more units sold than PS3 + X360 (around 55% market share, if not higher).

@Megaman2 youre analysis is complete wrong, the xbox 360 will take 2009 just like 2008. With another price cut looming the 360 will become the most sensible purchase they both offer identical games, and its not worth to pay an extra $199 for the same service although the ps3 does have a killer line up sony must cut the price NOW!

i think 2009 only KZ2 will have good sales, but from extrapolating R2 demand
and verry big budget LBP, i think maybe KZ2 even not beat MGS sales

Anyway, I think the PS3 can resume its victories in 2009 when they finally manage to slash manufacturing costs, as well as all the games you named. If those two factors do well enough (Gran Turismo in 2009 btw), then I think PS3 can overtake 360 WW LTD by Q2 2010.

Also, you forgot Ratchet and Clank Future Sequel, which we all know has MASSIVE amounts of system selling potential (-.-) but still, it's a game. So is Demon Souls. And FF Versus XIII.

And I'm guessing (hoping) that Tekken 6 and FF13 will be superior on PS3, because it should be lead platform.

My analysis is spot on the ps3 will blow away the 360 in 2009, 360 only has halo wars and halo recon but really they should have stopped at halo 3. Just wait for gt5 and will we speeding away!
