Supply issues or not, the 360 is still selling significantly better then it was earlier in the year. The ps3 seems to be in some serious troubles as both hd consoles are selling dangerously close to each other now.

The entire console market in Japan is abysmal, no wonder all the studios are trying to westernize their games. This is why there's virtually no Japanese game support from Sony other than WKS.

@theprof00: No, since FF will never hit 360 in Japan. Only FFXI got released there and did abysmally.

Anyways then, we should wait until late next year to see an improvement in HD sales?

No matter what PS3 does, until it gets a downsize, it won't sell. I love the PS3, but Sony knows, this year, Japan is a wash. The only safe of grace is Little Big Planet. Once that comes out, I expect a boost, but when Final Fantasy XIII comes out, I expect great things ;).

It is selling the same as before but it is selling it on an off week. Normally when you see the other consoles at those numbers you have the 360 at ~2,000. I would say it is likely that the system sold out the week ToV was released and the supply is running a little low leading to the higher numbers over the last couple weeks. It will settle back into its normal salesnext week or the week after I suspect.
