Forums - Microsoft - Infinite Undiscovery Review IGN 7.1/10

7.1 isn't horrible, but it's not going to set the world on fire.

and 20-30 hours is pretty short for an RPG. Twenty hours is a week at most, and a weekend for the hardcore. I was never excited about the game, so it doesn't matter for me, but I don't see the point in MS getting all these JRPGs and none of them are greatly reviewed, it doesn't make sense to me.

So they should wait until the reviews come in before deciding whether or not to secure a particular JRPG for their system?

That might be a bit tardy on their part.

Awesome.

4 ≈ One

Take your head out of your asses if you think a 7.1 is a low score.

I think it really depends on what you do in the 20-30hrs. Quite a few people on these forums deride Mass Effect for being 20-30hrs...But at least in my case, I've spent close to 100 enjoyable hours with various playthroughs, and never getting the same game twice.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

hum... I didn't expect any particular score for this game.

I know so few about this game indeed...

Noted.

Or, they could not spend money buying exclusives, but spend it on internally developing a JRPG that they know is full of win.

7.1 is a score for all type of gamers no matter what genres they like or not.
If you're into JRPGs then the IU is more than good.

They did. The company is called Mistwalker, and they have 2 awesome JRPGs in Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey.

Hilary Goldstein, enough said.

(I never thought of it as AAA, but I thought it'd be at 8/10's on average).

After star ocean and Radiata Stories, I was expecting better, they've never been a graphic-whore dev (which I understand), but the gameplays always been tight. Seems like they were just lazy.

Seems like Star Ocean for the 360 really will be the "Last Hope" for Tri-ace.

I think this review is actually accurate to an extent. He said the story was good but thought that some other aspects could have been improved. Just because a JRPG has a good story doesn't automatically make amazing. You also need great gameplay to back it up. The gameplay seems to be good but unrefined at best.

Also, Hilary actually like LO, he gave it an 8.2 and even said he liked the turn based battles in that game
