Forums - Nintendo - no unanounced nintendo games for at least 9 months but pleanty in developme

i think nintendo have severely messed up thier development times.  for the first 2 years  they set a release of core games they couldnt keep up with. from high profile releases like brawl, galazy and metroid prime 3 to  less well known titles such as fire emblem and batallion wars.  but they couldnt keep up this place and are now in a situation where they have no core games with development being done for Q3,4 2008 and Q1 2009. instead europe and USA is seeing 2 games already released in Japan (wario and baseball) and one that has already been completed for a very long time (animal crossing). theres also fatal frame but thats still not got a western release date

nintendo does have its core titles in developent, i belive they have in development:

disaster, captain rainbow, factor 5 game, mario, zelda, pikmin, facebreaker, matsuno's RPG and most likely more.

but these games are no where near finished which is why we have the current fixation on nintendo focsuing on casual games ( of which i believe that have released 3 and have 2 in development)

what are your opinions on this?

I think I read somewhere that Nintendo isn't the only company that can make games for the Wii.

please understand im not saying 3rd party support is bad, i want 5 3rd party games this year, but that nintendo is losing fans because there not releasing as much. me being a whiner is a misconception and one i want to fix by any means neccesary

Nintendo isn't losing fans they are getting more and the ones who leaves can never have been any real fans in the first place beacuse what they do now they have done since the Snes age.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

Worked for the DS. We got Nintendogs, Mario Kart DS, and New Super Mario Bros in just a few months, and then very little, but in that time, third parties stepped in and realized they were making money on the DS.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

What are you on about? Surely, this cannot be?!

Nine months? I thought Nintendo said they weren't going to announce games until a maximum of three months before release, which means there could be some yet-to-be-announced first party games released in time for Christmas.

Erm...I'm sure they have announce games before hand more than 3 months. Just look at games like Wii Sports Resort.

That was at E3 which was before they said they weren't going to announce games more than three months in advance.
