Forums - Gaming - Mgs 5 confirmed

However they manage to fit the game into the current MGS timeline, the story can't be worse or anymore inconsistant than MGS4s.

It will most likely be a prequel.

Does he mean Metal Gear 5...???

From what I understand MGS4 was the end of the MGS saga and the end of Solid Snake's story....

Maybe he's just saying MGS5 but meaning "Metal Gear ___ ___" [Put what ever words you want.... just not "Solid 5"]

That should be Metal Gear 3, not 5.

Hmmm......... good point......

4 ≈ One

This is most simultaneously bad and good news I've heard this year.

It says also here.

You could also interpret this as "If there is ever a MGS5 coming, I won't be involved, seeing how I've quit, but it'll turn out a great game anyway".

no. no you can't.

Yes you can.

I'll gladly pose this sentence to my professors English and they'll confirm that it is possible to interpret it this way. It's not a common use of the will-form, but it does exist.

what the fuck are you like a freshman in college who has the bulls by the horn. "pose this to your english professors" holy cow. You want to disect this he says WILL, It'll is a conjunction for IT WILL if you say WILL it eliminates the IF in speech. IF is vague, IF leaves questions, the word WILL is fundamentally absolute as matter of factly as humanly possible in our vocabulary.

Now that thats out of the way, in the world of videogames nothing is confirmed until it hits store shelves so its irrelavent anyway. But have fun posing questions to your profs, bro!!!!!! wooooo!!!1

While Snake's story may be over, it is pretty inconceivable that the MGS franchise is over and done with.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

Bah, you should've posted the whole article.

It's sad to see Ryan Payton go. :(

mgs4 IS THE LAST solid snake game.

well another ps3 game doesn't hurt :)

Yeah I'm torn on this....I love MGS and Snake but I felt that the series ended in a pretty satisfying way with 4 (kinda) and I don't really want that messed with.   If they were to make a whole new series though that could be very interesting, but would it be the same without Snake?

Oh and I realy like Kojima but he needs to stop saying "this is my last MGS game"  If he says it again with MG5 I'll be :l
